Needle point is also plastic canvas. It is very easy to do. The picture is of Plastic canvas. Needle point uses a fabric kind of like plastic canvas I can'y remember the name of it though.

Needle point tips 

Use yarn or DMC thread for Plastic canvas and just DMC thread for Needle point

You can make many things with Plastic canvas like christmas decorations or easter decorations 

If you decide to make something for a baby it is the best idea if you do not use plastic canvas because Plastic canvas can break into tiny pices but if you decide to make something anyway  you should make baby blocks.
